Player Pathway

Golf is a sport that can be started at any age.  Multi-sport athletes often make great golfers if they started learning, at a young age, how to shift weight to generate power and speed.

Our program is designed to help golfers progress through levels of skills and abilities regardless of age. Unfortunately, the junior golf tours still operate strictly by age groups and don’t make it easy for juniors to enter the sport after 12 to 13 years of age. The biggest obstacle being Caddies and yardage.  Depending on their age, we will build a plan to enter the junior circuit with confidence and a strong mental mindset.  The focus is always about having fun.

Progressions through the levels will vary based on the student, their athletic ability, and dedication. Lessons will focus on the golf swing and technique and progress to competition as the student advances. Goals will be set, and students will be recognized and rewarded for making gains. Moving up a level will require passing a low-stress assessment. They will receive a 360 Junior Golf Academy bag tag to carry proudly on the course.

Points

Below is a worksheet that will be used over several seasons. Each milestone can be accomplished at any time. Think of this like Karate Belts. Research has shown that kids enjoy the goal setting and accomplishment of progression levels in sports.

Experienced students?

If students join the academy with competition experience, we will use their lowest score from their recent season to place them in the appropriate level to start.
